About
Weddings happen often enough for us not to think much about them. Sure, there are rituals, there is an atmosphere of tension, some surprises, an anxiety of treating the guests right, and two very harried families and a bride and groom who clearly need some sleep. Not to miss the purohit/priest who needs that silver vessel(right now!) to perform his rituals.
But then, there is magic too. And this magic is everywhere in a wedding. It successfully draws a beautiful blush out of the bride and groom where expensive make-up fail. It makes your father look wistful: Wasn’t it only yesterday that you were a toddler who just rode her first tricycle? It is there in the quiet disbelief in your mother’s eyes : Surely, her son was only a boy she sometimes told off for being stuck to internet?
This is why I love weddings. I love capturing the transformation of an ordinary girl and boy into The Bride and The Groom. There is a lot of joy in knowing that you were the one to capture the moment when the bride looked as radiant as the setting sun because of a very special something her boy told her.
Unfortunately, candid moments are elusive, unplanned and are a lot like true art, defying imitation or repetition. It’s easy to tell you to open your eyes and take that group picture again, but I can’t ask you to blush again, can I? If your photographer is not careful and swift and talented and a lot of other important things, you could end up missing the moment for ever.
It is this magical part of your happy beginning that Light Story captures for you.
Our albums are uploaded to facebook. Additionally, you could read each of the wedding stories here.
